01 · The Concept
Our intervention started by analyzing the daily passage of sunlight across the rocky coastline. Woma structured the interior volumes as mathematical voids designed to welcome wind paths while projecting raw shadows onto unpolished travertine surfaces.
By eliminating decorative baseboards and redundant framing, each room connects directly to the horizon. Material limits blur into raw sky.

"We wanted the kitchen to act as a geological centerpiece, as if carved from the ocean cliff itself."
The monolithic sandstone island weighs over four tons. Master local stonemasons hand carved the basin directly into the sediment rock face, leaving the exterior crust raw to catch shadow patterns.
Tectonic Integrity
Four natural components carefully extracted to age together with perfect grace over time.

Unpolished Travertine
Peloponnese, Greece
Selected for its geological cavities that capture coastal breeze and sand deposits.

Smoked African Oak
Knysna, South Africa
FSC certified timber treated with natural oils to develop a dark, rich patina.

Sand-Plaster Grout
Oudtshoorn, South Africa
Hand troweled clay and river sand matrix that absorbs and diffuses glaring tide shafts.

Unglazed Terracotta
Brandenburg, Germany
Unglazed organic tiles carrying trace iron minerals for warm acoustic grounding.
The Metamorphosis
Observe the transformation of a cold, compartmentalized structure into a seamless volumetric sanctuary.

"Woma didn't design an interior; they mapped the natural wind and light directly into our daily routine. We've bought a permanent state of peace."
